Running was popular in Europe long before it caught on in America, which is why most races are measured in kilometers instead of miles and why most of the Pilgrims were eaten by bears. Race to the top of the food chain with today's Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $17.49 for one general-admission entry to the Gator Stompin' 5K race (a $35 value)
  • $24.99 for one general-admission entry to the Gator Stompin' 5K race and a chance to win a free Gator Stompin' ticket (a $50 value)

Both options include entry to the Gator Stompin' 5K race on Saturday, April 13 at 9 a.m. as well as breakfast, refreshments, admission into the .05K Fun Run, and a race bag containing an official Gator Stompin' 5K tank top, and more. The Gator Stompin' 5K race will also feature fitness and drinking-based challenges with exciting prizes such as a cruise for two to The Bahamas or Gator Stompin' tickets.

Gator Stompin' 5K

Current and former Gators from across the Sunshine State converge upon Gainesville for the Gator Stompin' 5K, a charitable precursor to the massive Gator Stompin' pub crawl held each spring. During the race, participants scamper along the traditional route, weaving through historic downtown and back across the University of Florida campus, stopping only to refill on beer or stalk gazelles sipping at the city fountain. Proceeds from the philanthropic pavement-pounding benefit the Pledge 5 Foundation, a nonprofit organization that holds food, clothing, toy and pet-adoption drives throughout the year.
