Four-day festival features live performances by musicians amid carnival rides, food vendors, competitions, celebrity chefs, and more
The thrill of seeing one’s favorite musicians in concert often alleviates the stress of modern life and the sweaty delirium from contracting Beatlemania. Enjoy an aural antidote with today’s deal to attend the Nevada Wild Fest at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on October 25–28.
For $9, you get two general-admission tickets, each valid for admittance for one day of the festival (an $18 value). The event takes place at the following times:
- Thursday, October 25, from 3 p.m.–12 a.m.
- Friday, October 26, from 11 a.m.–12 a.m.
- Saturday, October 27, from 11 a.m.–12 a.m.
- Sunday, October 27, from 11 a.m.–12 a.m.<p>
Each fall, the Nevada Wild Fest gathers food vendors, musicians, and expert zombie impersonators together under a colorful whir of carnival rides and lights. This year the festival will be spread across the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino grounds, where guests will be able to walk through the fog of a haunted maze or the rising smoke of kebabs cooking on a charcoal grill.
Ferris wheels and rides spin smiles out of guests, and a towering slingshot ride propels tethered pairs up to 240 feet in the air before safely returning them to the Earth. Depending on the day, other activities include a Zumbathon, a costume contest, celebrity chef demonstrations, and dock dogs—a canine aquatics competition. Visitors will also be able to meet and greet celebrities such as Kyle Massey from That’s So Raven.
Musicians will alternate between two stages throughout the event; the 2012 lineup includes artists such as Sleepy Brown, Colette Carr, The Farm, and Gwen Sebastian. Check the lineup for headliner announcements.
