$10 for $20 Worth of Indian Cuisine and Drinks

The menu includes baked-to-order tandoori dishes such as chicken tikka ($13.99) and shrimp tandoori ($15.99); chicken, lamb, and fish simmered in house-made curry ($13.99–$15.99); and biryani dishes with veggies, shrimp, or lamb ($12.99–$14.99).

Little India

Since 2000 and 2002, respectively, readers of both Westword readers and 5280 magazine have voted Little India the best Indian restaurant in Denver, where its original location has been open since 1998. Little India’s chefs create its signature curry from a special blend of spices, onion, and garlic, simmering chicken, lamb, and seafood in a medium-thick sauce. Fresh-made mint-cilantro and tamarind chutneys escort tandoori dishes that have been baked to order in the clay oven, and a yogurt marinade to gives it a smoky taste previously achieved only by resting it on a dying campfire. The spicy colors of turmeric, saffron, and paprika dominate the dining space, and murals of women in saris gracing the walls, embroidered textiles hanging from the lattice ceiling, and pendant lighting give the room an amber glow.

The Groupon Guide to: Getting a Million Dollars

One million dollars is the most money anyone is scientifically capable of wanting. Here are the most convenient ways to secure your seven-figure fortune:

  • Inherit $999,999 and charge someone $1 to hear the tragic story of your wealthy parents’ disappearance.
  • Find a blank check like in that movie Blank Check, or its popular sequel, Blank Check 2: Check, Please!
  • Make reliable investments—what’s something that’s been around for hundreds of years and is still used today? That’s right—trains.
  • Become a professional athlete. When you’re done paying to have most of your body reconstituted by doctors, you should have one million dollars left.
  • The Monopoly man is real; find him and take what society is owed.

Who was the Monopoly guy based on? Trick question: himself.

Reviews

  • Friendly staff, tasty Indian food, great atmosphere (we ate outside).

  • The Marsala was the best I have ever had, lacking nothing for flavor and the right consistency of curry, not too thick or runny
