Q&A with Marianne, Owner & Baker
Do you adhere to any sustainable or eco-friendly practices?
We try to keep lights turned off when possible. We have a local man pick up our scraps daily to feed to his chickens. We use organic ingredients and local produce, fruit and eggs that are grown or raised in a sustainable manner.
Décor can say a lot about the type of food a restaurant serves. How does your décor inform or reflect your culinary practice?
Our floor is painted a bright warm, whimsical yellow, allowing us to utilize the sunshine on bright days and keep the lights turned off. We have a eclectic mix of tables, chairs, cups and such. It feels like you are stepping into grandma's house.
In your own words, how would you describe your menu?
The bakery prides itself on sourcing local, regionally grown foods and incorporating them into the final product.
