Miami Brew Bus

When Chef Kush opened LoKal, the restaurant signified a new era in Miami's culinary scene. Instead of the gaudy decor and high-priced drinks characteristic of most Miami eateries, Kush emphasized local, farm-to-table fare and craft beer. But Kush didn't stop there, he took his passion for craft beer and joined forces with his friends and beer enthusiasts Cici and David to create Miami Brew Bus.

The birth of Miami Brew Bus coincided with a craft-beer renaissance in Miami, making the city the perfect setting for a Highway to Hops tour. This bus tour is an easier way for visitors and locals to find some newly open breweries than simply following the sound of clinking pint glasses. It starts at Funky Buddha Brewery, a 20,000-square-foot space that's been churning out creative suds since 2010, such as No Crusts Peanut Butter and Jelly Brown Ale. The next stop: M.I.A. Brewing, where you actually get to witness beer being brewed before sipping on originals, such as Freestyle Wheat Pale Ale. At the final stop, drinkers can sip some lighter beers at Wynwood Brewing.
