Pierogi Truck

When the family of Polish proprietors behind Pierogi Truck first arrived in San Diego, they could only find their beloved namesake dish at one restaurant. To remedy this culinary tragedy, they decided to take it upon themselves to introduce city dwellers to one of the staples of their Eastern European cuisine. Today, they sell 10 variations of boiled pierogi from their food truck. Working from a closely guarded family recipe, they fill each handmade pierogi with classic fixings such as sauerkraut and ground meat or sweets such as blueberries or strawberries. With ingredients sourced from Chicago-based polish delis and meat shops, they also put homemade spins on Polish and Eastern European staples such as stuffed cabbage and grilled polish sausage.
