Open to riders aged 5 or older, the summer horse camps meet daily, Monday–Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each day of camp includes morning lessons on general horsemanship, hands-on labs, and other equine activities. Campers get a chance to ride every day and also receive a celebration of pizza and games on the last day. One-week camps are available for the following dates:

Vogel Equine

The sounds of clopping hooves echo across the hills of the historic OC Fairgrounds, where visiting riders grasp the reins as horses gallop across Vogel Equine's three jumping arenas. Never far behind, the facility’s experienced instructors watch for proper form and ensure the safety of their students during hunter and jumper-style lessons and training programs.

Students come to Vogel Equine from all backgrounds to learn proper saddling techniques and riding styles or to work closely with the facility’s four-legged staff during horse fitness programs. The instructors certainly oblige them, tailoring curriculums that grant firsthand experience in the saddle or stable. Professionally trained lesson horses and ponies assist with daily lessons while sale horses toss and turn on their beds of hay, dreaming of the day when they will be united with a steed-less rider.
