Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Albuquerque Airport by IHG

Good stay I booked this hotel using points. The location is very close to the airport and easy to find from the rental car lot. But once you're out and about, it can be confusing to navigate back to the hotel. GPS helps a lot. Even though it's close to the airport I didn't hear any airport noise. They are renovating the hotel, but overall it seems to have old bones. The halls and my particular room were sort of dark. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep. The air conditioning worked well and didn't make too much noise. The bathroom vanity appeared to have been renovated with a new vanity, sink, and facet, the rest of the bathroom was dated. The bathrooms are stocked with dispensers of liquid soap, hand lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. One thing I really liked was that the towels were not stored close to the toilets! (I hate it when hotels hang the towels over the toilet.) There was a lot of lime scale on the shower head and stains on the bathtub floor. There was a ginormous TV in the room that swiveled. The hotel has DirectTV and a lot of channels were unavailable with on-screen notices saying it was due to stalled contract negotiations with Disney. The air conditioning didn't appear to be working in the lobby and they had a portable air conditioning running that didn't seem to be helping that much. There looked like there was a large sitting/lounging area in the lobby but I didn't really explore it. I appreciated the PC in the business center and was able to login and do some work. There was a printer in the business center but I didn't use it. There is a restaurant in the hotel but I didn't use it. I'm not sure if free breakfast is included or not. Parking was free and there was plenty of space to park on the night I was there. The staff was friendly. I would stay there again but I would also be open to checking out other places.

After the remodel stay This Holiday Inn has come a long way. After what seems to be a long remodel period the rooms are very well done. The staff was very inviting, check in and out was very painless. Had a burger at the restaurant and it was very good, Look forward to my next stay.

Clean!! Comfortable and updated. Friendly staff. Restaurants available within a few blocks Very comfortable stay. King room had an extra chaise. Plenty of room to work on desk. Clean!! Comfortable bed. Stayed on third floor and didn’t hear any noise. Close to airport but didn’t hear any planes until morning. Plenty of parking. 24 hr coffee which was very good - grinds and brews. No coffee pot in rooms but this always available. We didn’t use the pool area but it was located in basement.

Great staff! Such a great stay for my mother and me! Everyone was great. Alexis was good enough to accommodate a room type request that I had ahead of my stay. Andrea and Cheyenne were friendly and helpful. Thank you all!
