Knights Inn Columbia

Caution Typically, I don’t write reviews but this is a cautionary tell. I want everyone who plans to stay at this place to know what there getting into. First of all the room smelled like day old cigarettes. Against my better judgement I stayed anyway because the trip was so quick. We went to sleep to day old cigarettes and woke up to a horror movie. My friend that came with me woke up in pain at 6 in the morning. See had bites all over. We looked down at the bed and there they were bed bugs at the head of her bed. Then I noticed several roaches crawling on the wall. My worst nightmare about traveling had come true. We rushed to get out the room shaking our things and leaving in our pj’s. We got out so fast that I left my brand new watch. We tried to talked with the people on duty but they just said we would need to talk with management. I tried talking with management but either they were in denial about there issues or just didn’t care. There was no apology or ownership of this terrible situation. So my recommendation to anyone planning to stay here is caution you may want to stay elsewhere. I have attached pictures of the bites and bugs from the Knights Inn Columbia SC.

Don't do it The room was "clean" . When we opened the dresser to put away our things we found dead cockroaches. The sign in the office says no refunds after 15 mins. As I was making my way back to the room I found live ones trying to get in. Footprints on bathroom wall in front of the toilet. An a bottle opener on the door beside the toilet. The cops patrol the parking lot. We also witnessed drug dealing in the parking lot. Needless to say we didn't stay an was out over $100. For the 3 nights was paid for.

EVACUATIONG HURRICANE FLORENCE. DO NOT STAY HERE! TOOK ALL MY CASH, ROOM NOT FIT FOR AN ANIMAL, I WAS ROBBED THERE! 2AM arrived at this place I was evacuating alone from Hurricane Florence with my 2 cats. They took all of my cash no credit cards.It is in now way Not safe here, Prostitutes, drugs was what I saw when pulling up to my room. The lights didnt work except in bathroom. I have never seen a more disgusting room but I needed to rest my broken neck from a long drive. The room was not only dirty, walls had holes, the only working light was in the bathroom. When I sat on the toilet it sunk into the floor, and while sitting I noticed Blood on the shower walls, the bathtub was leaking and damaged and old with cigarrette buts put all over it. I felt literally sick that i gave them over $150 in cash to stay here. Wouldnt stay if you paid me. Room not suited for an animal. I had banging on my door before 11 with someone yelling "LEAVE" , I was trying to gather the few things I had brought into my room but I was scared because they would not stop yelling and opening my door. 2 guys showed up with piercings and tattoos to remove me. I was loading my trunk with a few thing, and just had to gather my frightened furry children. My trunk was opened and I had to have my car running so my cats would have A/C. There was no breakfast and the lobby was disgusting. I stopped at the front desk Traumatized and crying but he would not listen and did not speak English.. I went to 2 nearby hotels in a panic after my experience. I realized someone had stolen my cooler bag of drinks. I ended up going to a Hotel in Lugoff that was like a Hilton compared to this disgusting place. I told the police and everyone I spoke to what happened to me at this Knights Inn. I didn't realized I was robbed at the knights Inn until I went to fully unload my car. My security box, iPad and a bag with my charges and yes my clothes. I have filed a Police report and they are aware of this Motel. It is Franchised through The Red Lion. I wrote a complaint to Corporate and was followed up by a woman named Joanne. Have never heard again from her in over a week after reporting this. Please contact The Red Lion if you suffered as I did!

HORRIBLE!!!! ZERO STARS! Terrible customer service from the front desk and thats the least of it. The room was so disgusting that we did not want to touch or sit on anything. It was so bad the we went to Wal-Mart and bought sheets to put on the bed. We also bought disinfecting spray and sprayed it on everything. We bought flip flops because I did not want my feet touching the shower floor or the carpet (even with socks on). The room smelled like they sprayed everything with something called old person in a bottle. Believe me I am not exaggerating when I say the toilet was the size of the toilets that are in elementary schools for the kindergarten kids. The only reason we didn't leave was because all of the other hotels were booked. Do yourself a favor and just STAY AWAY!!!

not very happy sorry to say but if I had my choice I would say no stars and a very zero rating the room smelled like someone had lived in it for years both mornings at 6 am no breakfast in the lobby at all. I have a huge scratch on the back of my ankle where the bed frame stuck out four inches from the n mattress and you would bang into it everytime you got up had to buy spray to spray the room it reeked of smoke so bad trash behind the dresser never again
