Candlewood Suites Georgetown by IHG

Good service bad bedrooms. Service was nice but once we got into our room it was like they didn’t even clean it . There was dirt/mud on the carpet and also on the covers. The pillows were nice but had hair on them. The stove wasn’t cleaned . And the chair has a hole in it. Overall wouldn’t book this place again .

Horrendously Awful Summer 2021. Arrived at this hotel. Lobby smelled bad. I should have left. Was told by a very arrogant front desk clerk that she had no rooms available except one. The entire city was completely booked everywhere else, so I took the room. Paid top dollar, as if a luxury hotel. Dirty does not even describe it. Stunk to high heaven. In my room, there was old food under the bed. Carpets were visibly stained and looked as old as the 1960s. Pulled back the bed covers. It was smelly...like the unmistakable smell of body odor from a previous person. Not washed at all. Very fun lighting. Took a good look around. Nothing was wiped down in the kitchenette. The tub and sink had hair on it. Slime on tub ledges. Couldn't use the furniture because of the stains and holes. Stink badly. I felt as though I would probably get sick from how diseased this room was. Additionally, found the laundry room was so filthy that clothes would likely come out of machine more dirty than when they went in. Nothing was wiped down hair and gunk all over the inside. Truly awful. Slept in my car. Had to go get cleaning supplies to sanitize the shower, so I could use it. Left as soon as I could. Never again.

Excellent customer service! We ended up at the Candlewood Suites last year after our house flooded. We stayed for almost five months while the house was being rebuilt. Management could not have been nicer to us. They accommodated our dog and extended every hospitality. All our needs were met, and Bob and Andy and all the staff treated us like family.

A lot needs fixing Rip in the carpeting center of hall main floor.. Trip hazard. Chair so old the entire front of the seat cushion is worn off. Cupboards are worn. . Saw about 10 at back of property being pitched. What took so long? Mattress supposed to be a queen but was a full and SO hard. No luggage rack. Wow. Toilet low to floor. I’m 5’4”. Really so not ok for the general public including anyone with a hip issue or people who are over 65 but are in decent health. Stained curtains on linings…large stains that are questionable in origin. And they don’t close completely because the Velcro attached to them are missing about halfway up. Stayed at a Candlewood in Troy, Michigan. Puts this place to shame. Did not use the other amenities. TV service was very good but no channel guide in the room. Had to go to front desk. The clerk had a copy at the front desk and offered it to me to look at. I asked her to make a copy for me and suggested she put a copy in each room. The guests should not have to tell management to fix these things.

Replace furniture. The room was clean, but the furniture was extremely dated and worn so much it look bad. Room was comfortable but a little off putting. A room should be inviting. Furniture like that would be replaced in my house. Enough said.Staff was friendly.
