Great stay The facilities and rooms have been updated beautifully, and the whole place is almost conspicuously clean. There's a new addition to the building but they've kept the rooms spacious unlike new construction hotels. The staff, which includes students at the Hilton School, is lovely and eager to help but not intrusive. The location is good if you have a car (or are not leaving campus), in the midst of campus, and has relatively easy access to highways. Parking is convenient (right under the building) and in the range typical for urban hotels, but with in-and-out privileges. It's also very quiet. The restaurant in the lobby is good and adds convenience. It also features a robot that brings your order to the table! I hope I never lose power again, but if I do, this hotel will be my first call - again. Which is another selling point ... The UH Hilton did not lose power during Hurricane Beryl!

Completely Updated and Great Service The new construction tower looks amazing. I was in a hurry, and was unable to take a suite upgrade in the new section. However, they did give me a suite upgrade in the older portion, which has been completely updated. The friendliness and hospitality here is second to none since it’s a hospitality university, but the upgraded rooms are phenomenal. Highly recommend this hotel, if you are needing to be near University of Houston. Erics is a nice little bar restaurant with exceptionally good food, not a large menu.

Great property! The new tower of the hotel is fantastic! Our room was huge with a kitchen and giant bathroom. Some of the reviews have been bad but we had the best experience. Very clean! Friendly staff and a great hotel!

This hotel is a blot of the Hilton brand If you are visiting someone at the University of Houston, do not stay at this on campus hotel. You’ll be much happier if you book with an inexpensive hotel and drive into campus, because this place was a comedy of errors. But it sure wasn’t funny at the time. When the young student who appeared to be the only staff member working at the hotel gave us a room, that he said was a little difficult to find and not close to the elevators, as we had requested, he tried to give us a different room and said the computer system wouldn’t let him change it. So we offered to go to the room and let him know if the distance to the elevators was managable. It was, but barely. He also said it was an accessible room. The only nod to accessibility was handrails in the bathtub. In the early evening after we’d had dinner, we tried to bring the room temp up above 66 degrees. No luck, so we called the desk. Who came to help us was the young man from the check-in desk. He fussed with the thermostat and left, but the room temp remained where it was. When I called back, he came up again and explained that everyone else had gone home, so he was the only one to help us. He still couldn’t get the thermostat to work, so he got us some extra blankets to wrap up in. The next morning the staffer at the desk said she would have maintenance come up while we were doing our meetings at the University, but asked right away if we’d like another room if they couldn’t fix it. We said no because we’d be back late afternoon and leaving early the next morning. The hassle didn’t seem worth it. When we returned that afternoon, not only was the heat not working any better, but there had been no maid service. When we asked about that at the front desk, they said we had to request it. It wasn’t an automatic service. We hadn’t been told that. She did offer us a space heater since the room was so cold Finally, the elevator from the parking garage was out of order (with no sign posted!), so two of us who are disabled had to navigate a steep, deserted, dirty staircase to get the lobby. The next morning, we had to use another elevator, far from the car, to get our luggage to the parking garage. Although we did contact the General Manager to request a refund, he was not helpful. After hearing our litany of problems, he reluctantly gave us a $100 refund. We were relieved to say goodbye to this hotel. It was shabby, service was terrible, and many things were out of order. It seemed deserted and almost spooky. That’s a lot of problems for a room that cost us more than $500 for two nights.

The smell is awful severe migrane The hotel room has a horrible smell. It smells as if someone threw up and pooped in here _. Not what we were expecting at all. We thought the smell would go away but it is just musty and gross. We do not recommend.
