Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oak Ridge by IHG

Good staff. I spent 4 nights while attending a class. I found the rooms very clean, the bathrooms seemed to be in good repair and also clean. I had a Suite and it was a nice size and very comfortable. I had several interactions with the staff always finding them helpful and cordial..

CLEAN, COMFORTABLE & QUIET I made my reservation for my one-night stay at the Holiday Inn in Oak Ridge Tennessee using the Holiday Inn App. Arriving I was greeted by a very nice young lady at the front desk who quicky checked me in. My King room was spacious, clean and well attended. The bed was well made and comfortable, affording me a good night’s sleep. The free Wi-Fi was strong and worked well throughout my stay. The breakfast was the usual egg, meat, gravy and biscuits along with pastries and cereals. The popular pancake machine was working, and they also had warm cinnamon rolls. The breakfast attendant was very polite and efficient, keeping the area clean and well stocked throughout the advertised hours. The parking lot seems to be a little small and could get quite crowded if the hotel was full, but this was not an issue during my stay. This hotel is an easy drive away from Knoxville and is a good option if you want to avoid the higher rates at the Knoxville Hotels. All in all this is a very nice hotel. The rooms are clean, and the staff are polite and professional. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nothing Special I stayed for 2 nights, a combination of business and pleasure. Checked in on a Wed. Evening and left on Friday. Even though my room preferences on the IHG app is set to a high floor, I was given a room on the 3rd floor, room 304 to be exact, with no option to change rooms, they said they were sold out. Room 304 is a handicapped room that literally stunk like dirty wet socks, musty, the bed was comfortable and the hotel was basically quiet except there were several college rowing teams there and although the hotel has a strict quiet policy after 9PM, I guess it doesn’t cover slamming doors until 1AM then slamming doors at 6Am when the leave. The bathroom door didn’t close right, the room could use an upgrade, it wasn’t the worse but, I’ve stayed in better. The staff was friendly enough the one time I interacted with them although, I thought I’d get express checkout but, no. Next time I’m in Oak Ridge, I would seek other options, this would be a “no other option” hotel. Hilton’s app is far better than IHG’s. Even staying down in Knoxville might be a better option. I do travel quite a bit and stay at all the hotel chains, I just wasn’t over thrilled with this Holiday Inn. Like I said, it’s a no other option hotel. No expectations at all sorry to say.

A good example of the HIE experience. Rooms are quiet and the hotel strictly enforces a "quiet time" . For the most part, it's a typical HIE. Clean rooms, good hot or cold breakfast, comfortable beds. The Wi-Fi was erratic at times. The biggest problem was the shower head. A lot of hotels don't have bar soap and small bottles of shampoo anymore, just pump bottles. The products vended from this setup was so thick and the shower head flow so anemic that it took forever to get a good clean rinse.

Great Hotel I stay at this hotel almost every week for business. Brandi and Ron at the front desk are awesome, they always help me with whatever I need. They welcome me back every week with a smile and go above and beyond to see that I have a good stay. This is a great hotel, that’s why I keep returning. They’re very professional, great location and great service. I have no complaints whatsoever!
