Any port in a storm Our power had been out for several days and we needed a night in a hotel with AC. “Any port in a storm” would be the booking decision made for this hotel. Upon arrival, we could not have been more disappointed, but desperate, so we stay. One of the three elevators was out of service. There were signs at the elevators, limiting the capacity to 4 people. However, the rude employees would force their way on the elevators with their heavy carts taking them over capacity. The same employees would force their way past customers to get on the elevators from the main floor. The hotel rooms did not have a refrigerator. The safety latch on our hotel door was missing. I’m not sure how this can possibly still be a choice hotel. Even though I am a Choice member I did not receive a link to provide a review which is the only way you can provide a review on the Choice website. I will leave review here instead. The only way I would stay here again would be out of desperation and honestly, for the price I paid I would consider a different hotel in my desperation.

Terrible Management - Over Priced - Needs A Lot of Work Mostly a terrible experience. The hotel was under renovation and had only one working elevator serving the something like 9 floors. When we went to the room the hallway stunk and the room was much worse with tobacco and weed smell. They moved us to a different room on a different floor on the other side of the building. Unfortunately the power had been turned off to the AC unit for our room. They had us pack up to move to a 3rd room. Turned out a problem for other rooms also so they said we needed to stay while they worked out the problem. Meanwhile we found a cigar but on the floor of this 2nd room so it had not been well cleaned. But it didn't stink. They were not able to get to the bottom of the issue for several hours. Turned out a breaker had been shut off for construction. By that time our evening was pretty much shot. The conference we were attending had scheduled busses from various hotels and that was one reason we picked this hotel. In the morning we learned the hotel management wasn't allowing the bus to come on the property. This should have been disclosed on booking. They blamed the conference and the conference said they didn't know about it until the day of the conference. There was little or no security. The door locks to the building from the outside had been disabled. Every time we returned to the hotel, our room door lock didn't work and we had to go to the front desk to get a new key. We were not alone with this problem, but I don't think it was happening to everyone. But often enough the front desk wasn't even asking for any identification. They were just handing out keys. The breakfast was very good. Good selection of food. The staff worked very hard and were friendly. They were very pressed because so many people were eating early in order to get to the conference. Management didn't like it that people were taking food from the designated eating area. Management could have opened up the closed restaurant area but didn't. They just blamed the guests for all wanting to eat all at once. The restaurant bar was a disappointment. They said they were preparing for a grand opening but most of the food wasn't available yet. The spring rolls recommended by the bartender were actually pretty good and wondered why they were not on their menu. Our bartender was inexperienced, but doing his best while it seemed like the rest of the staff were just hanging out with friends. Management of this hotel needs to go to hospitality school. They were charging over $200 a night and running it like a $20 a night flophouse. When my deposit wasn't returned I contacted the hotel. I was blamed for not requesting it. This was the first time I have ever needed to request the deposit back. It is usually automatic. On the positive side, after my request, it was fully returned to my credit card. I don't like writing such a negative review. 95 % of the places I stay are good or great. Before writing this I reached out to the management and then to corporate. No one was willing to respond. They simply don't care. I stay at about 50 different hotels a year and write reviews on only a few. I can not recommend this hotel and I will be reluctant to stay at this chains other places as well.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked this for a one night stay in Omaha for work. Looked like an average hotel on the website for a good price, however, shame on me, I had not read the reviews. It smelled like a mix of food exhaust and weed when I walked in, the floors were filthy and it just looked generally beat up. The elevators were in bad shape and felt like death traps. The floor hallways were dimly lit with institutional fluorescent lights. When I got to my "non smoking" room, the card reader was not working properly and it took multiple tries to get in. Once in, it wreaked of weed and there was a door to an adjoining room with a broken lock. I immediately went downstairs to tell them I was checking out. They offered a different room, a suite this time. I gave it a try and when I got the door open, none of the lights switches worked. I went back down to the desk and said this will not work. To the credit of the man at the front desk, he did not hassle me and gave me a refund immediately.

It wasn't just a stay, it was an adventure Not well maintained the elevators were limited to 4 while one was inoperative. The common areas were dirty. The room had no refrigerator, no microwave. The hotel was filled with what looked like prostitutes of which one tried to get me to "use her services". My adult daughter saw drug deals going on in the lobby and lots of people bringing in cases of beer to party. The bar had loud obnoxious music. I will say the ladies who made breakfast did an excellent job. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Once again clerks at the desk not on duty in the morning at check out time.

Don't stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel in Omaha Central The place was a total disappointment! There were three elevators and only one worked. We used the stairways as the elevator was busy and the stairways were filthy!! Booze bottles and cigarette butts were laying all over in the stairways. The people working there were not very helpful at all!!! Very dirty place. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were not friendly at all.
