Scary This has been the absolute worst experience in my entire life, considering I traveled extensively in Europe for 20 years it really takes the mick. I booked via booking.com and when arrived to check in, there was a lady who couldn't speak English at all. She kept showing me her mobile phone which didn't have a speaker on repeating "talk him". I couldn't hear the person and didn't know what is happening until the man on the phone shouted "get the f..k out of here". The lady couldn't communicate at all and I couldn't understand what was I to talk about. I was not comfortable to be using this lady's phone, potentially sharing my details with some stranger on the phone who could be anyone, in these days of scams everywhere I do try to be careful. I didn't know why I was asked to "talk him" when I was showing her my ID. She never said it was the manager on the phone. I was completely thrown off, stunned and walked away to ask my husband for help to whom this manager complained about me giving hard times to his wife. When we finally got in, the furniture and windows were all broken and in disrepairs, the room was in a terrible state. Window in the bathroom completely broken. There is no excuse for this whatsoever. It was very noisy, lot of banging all through the night and a lot of noise from the road. The website states checking out time at 11:00 am, and we left the room at 10 am to just get coffees in a cafe next door. We were back at 10:10 to drink our coffees in the room and use the bathroom and then leave. They unscrupulously locked us out of the room even though we have not checked out yet. I was not willing to approach the aggressive owner who used swear words towards me, so we just left. We got treated like criminals because we believed we deserved minimal manners and a standard. I do accept that European standards are not applicable to US, but still this has been a hell of a shock. I have stayed in over 400 hotels all over Europe, Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Czech, UK, Ireland... I have never came across anything even close to such manners and behaviour. Anyone from Europe, please do avoid this place.

beware not at all like the description this was the worst experience ever. we booked the family room with 2 sinks and a separate bedroom for 2 nights. i had stayed there in december 2022 so i knew what to expect. upon arrival they gave us this tiny moldy room with one sink. there was no where to hang the hangers they gave us, the room was filthy - something all over the walls in the bathroom, several large bugs (i didnt get close enough to look) the door jam for the second room was leaking water all night and the wood was falling apart and the heat did not work. we requested a refund for the second night as we could not stay there again in those conditions and the owner agreed however once we checked out they refused to refund us the taxes and property cleaning fee for the second night which was almost half the cost of the room. claiming they would have moved us for the second day however when they attempted to move us they opened the door on a room that was already occupied!! horrible experience all around.

Never again! I’d call it a flea-bag motel, but it was ants that were the issue. Very noisy with 101 right there and construction noise. We couldn’t get our TV to work and when we went to front desk, a man who said he was the owner told us to use our laptop for entertainment! Very rude and quite surly. The brew house couple doors down was great.

It's an ok place, unless you have pets. Cost for a nights stay was listed on Booking.com for around $70 per night. Once I arrived, I was informed there was a $20 per pet fee, so with 2 dogs, and taxes, that's an extra $45 per night, or literally over half the cost of a nights stay for one person. I feel like this is a kind of bait-and-switch policy. Then, I arrived back at the hotel the second day and found my room was locked and I could not get it. Owner informed that there was an additional charge for that night, plus more pet fees. Total for 2 nights was over $360 after their bait-and-switch fees. I just checked prices, and I could have stayed at Motel 6 in San Luis Obispo, which is only 5 minutes away, for $150 for 2 nights, and no pet fees. I'll be staying there next time. It's not directly at the the beach, but the $210 price difference buys a lot of trips to the beach!
