Definitely a 2 Star Motel The window in our room, 212, looked out to a wall a couple of feet away where you could look down to the ground—-very poor design which provided no natural light. The AC sounded like a jet engine every time it cycled on. No sound proofing in rooms. We could hear people in the lobby below our room and the dog barking down the hall. Water in the shower couldn’t be regulated. It would be hot then ice cold then hot again. The “wood” floors were filthy and needed a good scrubbing. No complaints about the beds or the linens, they were old but nice and clean. Breakfast was about what you’d expect, frugal. Front desk staff were courteous and cordial.

Still Has Roaches. Do not go here, they have cockroaches. I was able to get a refund, as I had the room for 10 minutes and found a small one in the bathroom. The manager was very apologetic when I showed her the photos I took, and admitted that they had just ripped up the carpeting because of their roach problem. Perhaps next year, it will be resolved, but for now, I do not recommend this place. I had room 223. The clerk offerred me another room, but I wanted a refund. The manager was understanding.

DO NOT STAY HERE! IT WAS AWFUL! DO NOT STAY AT QUALITY INN PLANT CITY! We had a really bad experience that easily could have been rectified. Instead of being helpful when I called, Jasmine was rude and chose not to help us. She wouldn't give me the courtesy to listen, instead she went into defensive mode and displayed poor customer service. When we arrived my husband had a severe bloody nose so we were already in a difficult situation. We were given room 115 and upon going in I instantly got a headache due to the terrible odor in the room. My daughter got an instant migraine. I was trying to help my husband but my daughter's migraine was getting more and more debilitating by the minute. I went to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms because of the smell. The man working the counter was kind and helpful. He switched us to room 215, which smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. At this point my daughter is at the toilet about to vomit because of the migraine the hotel rooms caused, and my husband's nosebleed warranted a trip to the emergency room. After being there in total about an hour (partially in one room and partially in another) we had to check out so I could take them to the hospital to get treated. When I called to ask about getting a refund we were told that they would not refund us because it wasn't enough of a medical emergency. They said that because we were there for an hour between the two rooms that they "couldn't sell the room that night". We stay in that area twice a year because we attend an assembly around the corner and have several friends who stay in the area too. We will make sure to tell everyone to visit the Holiday Inn next door instead. It is a much nicer place. We would have stayed there ourselves if they weren't booked. Lesson learned! Our next step is to contact the FTC regarding the smells and cleanliness of the rooms.

STAY AWAY BAD BAD BAD could not stay because of the mold, musty smell which flared up my asthma and the front desk guy became IRATE when I tried to cancel with him. I had to go somewhere else. Still no resolution yet!!! Horrible customer service.
