It's a No for Me It's surprising to know that this hotel is a Marriott establishment because the quality was not up to standards. One of the two elevators was inoperable during our stay which resulted in long lines. We opted for the stairs. We ordered the "romance package" which was not in our room upon arrival. We called and it was brought to our room later but placed in a hidden area near the coffee maker, not welcoming or festive. Also, "chocolate" consisted of several packs of commercial candy like M&Ms and Snickers. The staff member at the desk was very accommodating and she improved our stay with a genuine apology and a positive demeanor. Still, the surprise add-on was a bust. The lobby and room were basic and functional. On the plus side, the location is convenient and the cleanliness was good.

Dump! Marriott’s are supposed to be at a different level from your neighborhood Motel 6. Not in Providence. Stained sofa bed, stained rugs, ripped sheets and the stench of smoke/musty odor in a non smoking room. Just gross. Emailed the customer service through their website and it took over a week for a response which was really just an excuse response. You should really address the issues instead of just over charging and calling your hotel superior. What a joke. Avoid at all cost.

Best Part Location We spent two nights at the Courtyard. The hotel still seems to suffer getting adequate staff for there was not evening food or drinks. Rooms are night serviced daily. The hotel had 1 elevator working for 7 floors. So we waited on more than one occasion. I'm a little tired of paying Marriott prices for missing services. But it's not just Marriott dealing with staffing issues. Parking was not optimal but was fine for 2 nights.

Lip service Just blame “covid”. I have been a regular Marriott customer for 40 plus years, while vacationing or traveling for business I’ve stayed at properties in NYC, Virginia, Nj, Ma, Aruba, Fl, Texas and other states and islands in the Caribbean. This May I attended the wedding of my first granddaughter and had booked 2 nights at this courtyard. 3 people in a nice sized room. Gone all day at the wedding, reception and small family gathering. Returned second night late and the room was left un refreshed, wet towels not replaced, nothing. Called front desk”we don’t clean or go into the room unless requested”. It’s covid. Why weren’t we advised in advance or upon check in, notice electronically sent, posted information, it’s covids fault. We did get towels and lots of excuses. Having contacted the facility and corporate I received the same covid responses. Other participants at this wedding staying at other Providence facilities were not subject to the “covid excuse”. There are lots of options in this area including motels where bedding and towels are exchanged daily at Half the price. Sadly, Marriott will no longer be my first choice as it has been these many years. This is no longer the Marriott chain I relied on.

Dirty and Challenging Parking Arrived late at night to find, due to a lack of parking in the surface lot, I had to drive around the block to a basement garage. I then had to upload by myself, get to the elevator and come back upstairs to the hotel and still pay a $30 per day fee. I felt unsafe and when I reported this to the front desk staff, they shrugged and said, "we do it every day". I then found multiple instances of a lack of cleanliness in the hall, on the elevator, and in my room (see attached pics). For a hotel saying they're not offering daily housekeeping services due to the ongoing pandemic, I didn't see many additional examples of additional cleaning efforts. I will not stay here again.
