Comfortable Accommodation The front desk staff is friendly. The room was very spacious and clean. The other guests were quiet and respectful - never heard and riff raff or anything going on. The location is decent and it is close to the train station to get to NYC. Overall it's a great value and I highly recommend staying here.

Average at best The location is a bit weird and secluded, despite it being right off the highway. Okay stay. They are definitely cutting corners though- not a single bar of soap, plastic cups or in room coffee available. There is a store on site but of course they are charging for those things (coffee is free). To me this is a glorified extended stay America that charges more and actually manages to give you less. Gym is nice but small and shared with public laundry, gets really hot. I was also woken at 7:30am by a phone call after getting back really late to a “fire alarm” going off, though I didn’t hear it. There went my sleep, sleep I really needed. Now that I think about it, there were quite a bit of negatives and I don’t think I’d come back.

Exceptional Service I have stayed at this hotel for 9/10 months of out the year in 2022. The entire time I was there I had no complaints for my stay. Everything I needed was provided immediately. The kitchenette inside the rooms paired with the grills outside provide all you need for a full home-cooked meal experience. The managers Amanda and Michele put the guests first and do their best to accompany anything needed. Caterina at the front desk goes above and beyond to make sure nothing disrupts your stay and the housekeepers always make sure the room is extremely clean and tidy. I will always choose Candlewood as my hotel when visiting the area.

Dads Birthday We were visiting my dad for his 50th birthday and we wanted to be close to NYC but not in the city. This hotel is perfectly located near the NJ transit and Uber’s are able to find you quickly at the front of the hotel. We had room 201 which was fully equipped with a kitchenette and all the little things we needed. The staff, Michelle and Amanda were both super welcoming and friendly. Always smiling and chatty even after a long day. The only complaint we had about this hotel is where our room was located. Next time we stay, we will request a middle of the hallway. The hotel is right next to a freeway and it can be very loud! I had to buy a box of ear plugs after the first night.

Wow call and confirm ahead of time ! Disgusting that I requested a roll away bed and it's not even possible for the room we booked and the manager refused to comp is a room for the two nights and kept trying to say it was an issue with booking and I had proof it was booked and requested properly. Proved there was no additional charge on the website either. The front desk clerk has to handle everything also and that's not very efficient. He was nice however and not his fault at all.
