Stay elsewhere The mattress was lumpy, we both woke with backaches. The toilet bowl was permanently stained and the seat was poorly attached. Breakfast wasn't good. Pre-made omelettes that are barely edible hot but these were cold, old oranges. I wouldn't stay here again.

FLEA INFESTED ROOMS FLEAS FLEAS FLEAS My family and I were only in town for one night in early July and we picked this hotel based on convenient location and recent reviews. We arrived around midnight from a long travel and I checked our beds like I always do when traveling. Everything at that time appeared ok. Being exhausted from the trip we all went straight to bed. To my surprise when I woke up the next morning and went to shower I had fleas not a flea but FLEAS jump on me in the bathroom. I looked down and you could visibly see multiple on the bathroom floor. I immediately went downstairs and requested that an employee come up with me to see. The front desk lady was very polite and came up with me. She verified that there were indeed fleas in the room. She said she would go let her manager know right away and for me to come down stairs in a few minutes to speak with the manager. Once we gathered all of our belongings and went to check out I requested to speak with the manager. The manager was rude and informed me there is nothing she could do since we already received a discounted rate through Expedia. She said all she could do for me was deep clean the room, which she stated should have already been done since there was a dog in the room before our stay. That did me no good at all we were only there for one night and I would never stay there again anyway. I immediately called the Holiday Inn customer service and filed a complaint. They stated upper management would be calling me back within 48 hours and that never happened. I have called back several times and still have not received a call back or response from anyone. $150 per room for a FLEA invested room is not a discounted or good rate. No one should have to pay for that kind of service. FLEA ROOMS that we had rented were Rooms 217 and 219. FLEAS FLEAS FLEAS

Clean hotel, sketchy people The room was very clean and comfortable. Some of the guests AND staff were very sketchy, especially the guy sitting in the red car parked behind the hotel, seems he does some sort of “business” back there. Breakfast was ok, same thing everyday. Maybe a waffle iron in place of the pancake machine that doesn’t ever seem to work. Could get some fruit that isn’t borderline rotten (oranges). The cinnamon rolls were awesome. Close to where I needed to be and was relatively quiet.

Disappointing stay at Holiday Inn Express, Washington, Indiana. We were excited to check into the newly renovated Holiday Inn Express. Some work was still in process. We checked into room 127. We quickly discovered the TV didn’t work, the HVAC had a loud hammering sound, the new paint job was sloppy, and the back splash around the bathroom sink was very poorly installed. We moved to room 127 to discover the bathroom was very dirty. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned in some time. There was a ring around the bowl at water level. There was a “brown deposit” on the seat. In fairness, the TV worked and the HVAC was a new one. Too bad. If well managed, this facility has potential.
