Friendly staff, nice view I've stayed here on occasion in the past. Reliable breakfast with their famous cinnamon rolls and pancake machine. Nice pantry to buy food from, but more selection in microwavable meals would be good. The rooms are getting a little worn. When I closed the curtains I had to use an alligator clip to keep them shut and then saw how worn out they were with tears and slits. The is a fridge and coffee maker but NO microwave - there's one in the lobby. Not sure why there's not one in the room - cheap, as I'm in another HIE and it has one. There is a nice view of the pond out back.

Worse then when I came here a year ago This was not a good hotel for my family and I to stay at. The pool was freezing. The workers were nice at first but were not nice at all once it started to get a little bit later. We were not aloud to eat r food in the lobby at the tables unless it was time for breakfast. The tv was super glitchy. We were simply just trying to enjoy our stay but the workers definitely ruined that for us so the staff should be ashamed. We were here with a big group for a softball tourney but that is no excuse to be rude to your guests. I am honestly so sad to say that the best part of this trip was leaving!

Do better Holiday Inn This place is seriously in need of an update. The beds were old and worn out, the entry light to the room did not work, so we were scrambling to try to find a light source because the room was getting dark. The heating unit was set at fan only so the room was 51 degrees when we got there. It took several hours to heat up to 70, then it continously turned on and off every few seconds throughout the night and it was loud. The bathroom was dingy with peeling wall paper, that was actually throughout the whole room as well. I might point out that I paid an upgrade charge to have the privilege of this room. The hallway smells so bad they had several strong air freshners plugged in that made us all cough. We went to the pool and the first step was so slippery I fell going in, as well as two kids that came in behind me. When reported the guy gave me a canned response about the steps being under water etc. I've been going to hotels my whole life and never had this issue. The breakfast was the worst, the premade cheese omelets were burnt around the edges and rubbery, you could not eat them, the sausage was the same way. I only gave 2 stars because most of the staff were super friendly and tried really hard to make up for the disaster that this place is. The sad part is this is the only "decent" place to stay within a half hour of my daughter's house.

In serious need of updating I have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times over the last 7 years. It is now showing its age. Carpeting is threadbare. Room furniture has lots of dings, dents and chips. Plumbing has slight leaks. All of which is manageable as the property is clean. However, the mattress was very soft and lumpy. Too soft and lumpy to be anywhere near comfortable affording a good night’s sleep. They seem to be renovating rooms. I suggest a newly renovated room, if you can reserve one, or wait until renovations are complete.

Not great The lobby was clean and staff friendly however the room had an aweful mildew smell to it. Our window was broken and would not lock and the toilet would not flush in the morning. They were quick about getting the window fixed. The carpet in the room was very worn and although the sheets seemed to be clean there was discolored almost dirty looking pillows and pillow cases on the bed. The mini fridge is very small and the rooms are pretty tiny. The pool room was also a disaster. The water was dirty so I never actually swam, and the walls are in dire need of repair. I will not stay here again.
