After spending more than 27 years tending to patients at Duke University Medical Center, Toni Campbell Shaw decided it was time for a fresh approach to healing. In 2010, she graduated from the Body Therapy Institute, and soon thereafter she opened Toni's Massage. Massage therapy, however, has long been in her blood—Toni's mother was also a therapist and was instrumental in guiding her into the new profession.
Now a seasoned practitioner of natural healing, Toni treats patients with a salvo of stress-relieving services that include Swedish massage, myofascial release, hot-stone therapy, aromatherapy, and chair massage. Toni has also completed Reiki I and Myokinesthetics for the Upper Body courses, which she uses to impart such benefits as decreased anxiety, improved sleep, and reduced fatigue. To alleviate any remaining uncertainty about the massage procedure and explain which style of hair best flatters the spine, clients are encouraged to consult the list of frequently asked questions.
