Inside the Full Tilt CrossFit facility, a stockpile of barbells, kettlebells, rowing machines, and rings is ready for action. Upon completion of an Intro to CrossFit personal-training course, exercisers can challenge themselves to work toward their fitness goals at any hour of the day or night. Patrons needing guidance can rely on certified coaches, who correct technique and offer encouragement while clients perform the Workout of the Day, or WOD. Each WOD brims with a new assortment of exercises designed to build cross-functional fitness. These exercises mimic everyday tasks in participants' lives, such as getting out of chairs and helping truck drivers flip tires all the way home if their 18-wheeler breaks down.
