We sat at the bar to eat and our guy was wonderful!!!! He was very helpful and was more then willing to suggest a beer or wine that went with what we were eating.

Look at the menu on the website ahead of time to know what you want. You can spend a lot of time just figuring that out or listening to the server explain things. Go early and start at the bar for half off cheese/chocolate fondues most nights before 7, their website has info on it. Prepare to spend at least 2 hrs if only having salad and meat/veggie fondue dinner.

Super yummy and it fills you up quickly. Make sure to save room for the chocolate fondue. Don't bother with paying extra for the cooking style. Opt for the free one.

Make sure you time the items you are cooking, to avoid overly cooked vegetables. The waiter was excellent and very informative.

Unless you and your guests have a hearty appetite and you want to be able to enjoy the chocolate fondue for dessert I'd recommend that you order only half of your party # for the cheese fondue (a couple just get one, a group of 4 get 2, etc.) A very enjoyable evening.

Don't fill up on the bread with cheese dip if you want dessert! Going to have to go back for chocolate martini and chocolate fondue at happy hour!

From Our Editors

When The Melting Pot originally opened in 1975 just outside Orlando, diners had just three options: swiss-cheese fondue, beef fondue, or chocolate fondue. The restaurant first expanded four years later, when an enterprising waiter at the initial location opened up a new outpost in Tallahassee. Today, the company—now owned by that original waiter, Mark Johnston, and his brothers Mike and Bob—stretches across North America with more than 140 restaurants linked by underground tunnels. The restaurant's menu has also expanded, and patrons can now expect six varieties of hot dipping cheese, paired with salads, meats, and molten chocolate.
