I've never been able to get my last laser tattoo removal treatment because everytime I call they tell me their machine is down. I paid for 3 treatments and only got 2.

This is an interesting place. I knew when I booked the appointment that it was a Chinese establishment, and English might be a challenge, but after the glowing reviews on yelp I decided to give it a chance. I made an appointment to have the laser toenail fungus removal. It was very clean and the staff is very friendly. I was a bit concerned when I was walked to the exam room that I was asked to sign a disclosure that wasn't specifically for my services, but a generic "laser treatment" agreement. Much of it didn't apply to me. I kept asking about my service, but the attendant kept telling me to ask the doctor. The "doctor" came in (actually a Physician's assistant but at least she was a medical professional) and told me what procedure I had signed up for. I had questions for her, but she gave very generic answers. Ex: Me: "What is the success rate of this treatment?" Dr: "It seems to work." Me: "How do you actually do it? Is it like the video? [I watched online on their website]" Dr: "I've never watched the video so I can't tell you." Hmmm. So far, I was feeling pretty nervous about what I signed up for. I was asked to sit on the exam table. The assistant photographed my toes. The PA kept trying unsuccessfully to start the laser machine, which she said they "don't use that often." Now, I was really nervous. When that machine didn't work I was walked to a new room with a new machine. This one did work. I asked again for her to show me what she was going to do. She did, with the wand in hand. Once the procedure started, she waved it over my toenail, and at one point it started to zap and smoke. It did burn/hurt in those sensitive spots, and she stopped immediately and placed an icepack on my toe, which helped. She did all 3 of the offending toes (and surrounding skin) in about 15 minutes. She said I would need a follow up appointment to make sure it took effect. She also told me it was her last day which may explain her nonchalant attitude. I booked a new appointment for a few weeks later, but ending up canceling it. Interestingly enough, the girl on the phone told me that all of their laser technicians were "gone for a conference for the month." Which makes me wonder why didn't they call me first, knowing there was no one there to do my procedure?? The jury's still out on whether this worked or not, but I'm only out $50 and I'm no worse off than before. I wouldn't recommend this place for anything beyond simple beauty treatments.
