Indian restaurants are sprouting up everywhere in the Philadelphia suburbs. There are two are three outstanding restaurants located within a mile or two of this place. If Laxmi's wants to compete with them, it had better inject some fresh recipes into the menu in lieu of the tired tandoor standbys. The waitstaff, although pleasant and well intentioned, seemed a few steps behind the pace in a) having full knowledge of the menu; and b) keeping up with the Saturday night crowd. Five years ago I would have raved about this place. Unfortunately for aspiring restaurateurs, those days are gone.

The service was excellent and friendly, it's a BYOB but I really don't know what goes with Indian food, possibly beer. The buffet seems like an excellent deal, however the groupon was not good for the buffet. Definitely will try the buffet next time.

They had a dinner buffet which we would have gotten but we couldn't use our groupon for it. So we ordered off the menu. It took about 90 minutes for the food to arrive. But that is unacceptable. No explanation or apology from the waitress.
