Hi Mary, We were so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the Fractional Radio Frequency Treatment you purchased from Groupon. We always strive to give a 5-star experience with all of our services. I think some of the disconnect may have been in what you thought you were purchasing, and a misunderstanding about how Fractional Radio Frequency works vs micro-needling. Fractional Radio Frequency actually has 3 skin treatments delivered all at the same time, in the same pass. Each time the Technician "stamps" the needling device across the skin, the needles go into the skin vertically, with a quick stamping motion. This is less painful and less disruptive to the surface skin. Fractional needles are also very fine, gold tipped needles. They are designed for conducting radio waves into the deeper layers of the epidermis. In this respect, the treatment is more about Radio Frequency, than traditional micro-needling. The needles are just the delivery mechanism to get the radio waves "under the skin" so it works better. Fractional Radio frequency combines a needle delivery system with Radio Frequency to double the benefits of both technologies. The result over time, is increased natural collagen and tighter skin. Additionally, each time the needles are stamped, the handle immediately calms the skin with a burst of LED red light simultaneously. This makes the procedure more comfortable and results in less redness and discomfort. A Fractional Micro-needling treatment would not disrupt the surface skin in the same way you have experienced with traditional micro-needling; however, you are definitely getting three separate treatments in each pass. This layering technology is an effective way to prompt change in the skin from the inside out, without the normal downtime. Additionally, our Technicians are always careful on initial Fractional treatments, until they learn how your skin responds. Over time, you can increase the intensity of the treatments, but that is not always recommended or required to see results. I do understand how disappointed you were when this new technology did not meet with your expectations.
