We have been coming to Slates for years. It is the best restaurant in all of Maine and we've never had a bad meal ever. One of the best features is the staff , many of whom have been there for years. Always so courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Just the best !

Great food, a little too noisy for my taste but not unlike a lot of others eateries these day. It's quieter dining in the bar.

Service was ok. The server dropped our food off and didn't ever come back to ask us how things were. I had to get someone else to fill up my water glass. Food was just ok. Nothing spectacular, not sure I would go back.
