The Run Rock, Austin

When you're low on energy during a run, sometimes all you need is a rhythmic bass line. That's the idea behind The Run Rock, an evening 5K that features live bands and DJs along the course.

The race prioritizes fun over competition, so participants are encouraged to walk, dance, and play air-synthesizer in addition to running. On the course, they move through three to four different zones, all colorfully lit and pulsating with catchy tunes. Afterwards, runners head to an after-party with even more music.
