We were disappointed with the new menu, we had purchased the groupon with the hope of getting the old menu. There weren't many choices to pick and the menu wasn't descriptive. We must have asked the waitress to explain half of it.

Portions are too small, and the food isn't THAT good to justify that. Our bill didn't make sense, and we were charged the wrong amount, yet when I brought it to the manager's attention, only 1 problem was fixed. We won't be back.

Food not bad and service excellent . . . but these people are clueless on how to run a restaurant. Initial part of entree took 45 minutes and it was nearly another hour before all parts of the entree were served, as a result you couldn't eat the meal together. Sort of insane.

The name of the place is changing this week so I have to go back to rate the new establishment. Food and service was great.

Portions were small given the price, and were not incredibly inventive or exceedingly tasty. The mushroom appetizer was the best part of the experience. The pork was very fatty and there was very little actual meat. The crab cakes were fine. The sweet potato cake for dessert was good, but nothing I couldn't easily make at home. Overall, the restaurant was empty so the waiters seemed to check in every ten minutes asking if anything was wrong or if we were okay. We were simply eating and talking so this seemed excessive. It took a long time to get the check at the end. I went home still hungry.

From Our Editors

A creative spirit thrives at Creme Restaurant & Lounge. As the chefs meticulously plate their eye-catching entrees, diners enjoy live performances from locally and nationally renowned musicians on the dining room stage. That combination of cozy ambiance and refined food creates a welcoming environment that encourages guests to linger for a while or attempt to move all their belongings in. The Baltimore Sun succinctly summarized the restaurant’s charm by noting, “If you have had a bad day or simply need to reward yourself with some rich, artful comfort food, this is the place.”

The chefs take a more refined approach to contemporary American cuisine. Shrimp and spicy sausage arrive with a bed of creamy grits and salmon emerges from the kitchen with a bold teriyaki and bourbon glaze. Even the bartenders demonstrate a willingness to push the boundaries of the expected by infusing their own spirits and creating specialty cocktails with chipotle-infused vodka and hibiscus-infused gin.

With its dark wooden floorboards and sunflower-yellow walls, the restaurant’s dining room exudes a similarly cozy, yet stately spirit. Intimate tables flanked by simple black chairs fill the long, narrow space, although virtually every seat presents patrons with a clear view of the stage at the front of the room. Some small touches add extra whimsy, including a dangling chandelier, an ornately decorated fireplace, and a collection of framed eggs benedicts.
