Had been to Pigalle before the theater a year or so ago.... that meal was hectic in terms of service and, too, the food lacked the attention that it received on our last visit. Is the answer only to go very, very early?

We went with another couple to celebrate my birthday. We had a 630 reservation on a Friday theater night, and I'm sure our waiter would've liked to turn the table over one more time...but we never felt rushed and sat until 930. The service was the best I've experienced in years. The dining room is elegant, well lit, and not loud.....we could actually have a conversation and see the menu. No one asked to clear our plates while others were still eating. No asked if we were Still Working on That? This is a sophisticated and expensive night out. And our waiter was truly exceptional. Wish I knew his name.
