I don't have an option of giving zero stars. Hence I am leaving one star. My daughter likes Tacos so we went on their Taco Tuesdays - they advertised unlimited Tacos on that day on their website. There was no one in the restaurant. It was a small room on Mcleod trail. A middle aged lady came to take the order. She didn't have courtesy to smile or basic manners on how you treat your customers. When I asked about Unlimited Taco offer for my daughter she said that offer is not valid for Groupon vouchers. They didn't mention that in their offer. My daughter was disappointed. The food was so so. Portions are too small. I would never go there again.

Food was excellent - however, very highly priced. Service was mediocre - at first I thought it was because we were using a groupon coupon, however, she seemed equally disinterested in all the diners. Salt and Pepper HAS to do something about their entrance. The front door opens up into the middle of the restaurant. During winter, this means the diners AND their food are chilled everytime someone enters or leaves. This is the reason I stopped coming here years ago.

Waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced! Food is just "average in taste"... never had a burrito covered in Spaghetti sauce before! Ewww.

From Our Editors

In 1988, Silvio Solano opened Salt and Pepper in hopes of creating a friendly atmosphere where diners could sample the diverse flavours of authentic Mexican cuisine. Originally from Tezoatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico, Silvio moved to Canada in 1969 and spent years chopping jalapenos and not scratching his eyelids at various restaurants before he realized the dream of opening his own establishment. The restaurant's culinary team continues to use Silvio's recipes as they whip up homemade sauces and Mexican mainstays such as enchiladas, tacos, and burritos. Aromas of the tasty creations fill the casual interior, where arched windows cast natural light over servers pouring margaritas. Outside, a blue fence wraps around a patio filled with oversized umbrellas. Salt and Pepper also plays host to catered events.
