great place to try a lot of beers they only brew at that location
Report | 5 years ago
excellent assortment of beers for small glass sampling food could be improved, but that is not their real focus

Goose Island Clybourn has solid bar food in a relaxed environment. They're kid friendly. New beers are released every Thursday and they always have a selection of beers that are brewed onsite.

Guide was great! He plainly explained the brewing process and then focused on how they are different. They have some awesome upcoming events that my friends and I are looking forward to going to.

From Our Editors

If you've ever raised a glass of Belgian-style Sofie or gotten lost in the oaky, chocolatey flavors of Bourbon County Stout, you may think that you know Goose Island's beers. But you haven't tasted the whole story unless you've visited their original Chicago location, Goose Island Clybourn.

That's because the brewpub—which is independently owned by Goose Island founder John Hall, despite Anheuser-Busch's 2011 acquisition of the larger company—specializes in small-batch beers that showcase the creativity and prowess of its brewers. Most of these beers are produced only once and can't be found in any beer store, corner shop, or on your roommate's side of the refrigerator. When guests visit the pub, they have the chance to sip artful ales, imperial stouts, and IPAs that might never again be tasted once the keg runs dry.
