About Johnnie Blue Chicago

According to Thrilist, there isn’t a shortage of Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch at Johnnie Blue, as it’s the owner’s preferred scotch and the liquor he named his restaurant and favorite houseplant after. But the signature scotch isn’t the only draw to this Lincoln Square sports lounge. In an upscale dining room boasting a tin-tile ceiling and fireplace, guests are served a hearty menu of juicy steaks and seafood infused with Mediterranean influences by Chef Michael Younan. To create this all-star menu, the chef uses a wood-fire grill to imbue lamb chops, bison burgers, and wild-caught seafood—all of which he hand selects daily—with a smoky, charcoal flavor. Johnnie Blue’s chef also fries up fresh chicken with eco-friendly oil and handcrafts authentic Mediterranean eats, such as kebabs. Guests can also cozy up to the bar’s granite countertop or the lounge’s plush loveseats, both prime seating to hear the jazz and Brazilian Samba music played nightly.

There was too much going on. Old black and white movie photos, techno music, & modern lighting made the space very confusing and unsettling. Add to that the mediocre food and poor drink list in made for a disappointing experience. Good waitress!

They could improve on everything. That is one of the sketchiest restaurants I have ever been to. Non of the décor matches, the is way over priced because the claim a "top chef" works there, but that man is missing all of his teeth and is definitely not a chef. There is only one server/host/bartender(at least he was really nice). You decide but unless I had a grouping, which I did, I would have left running and screaming.

Dined in this intimate environment for my friends anniversary. So much for only 88 dollars for 4 people. Appetizers, Entrees, dessert and top shelf drinks. Definitely worth the trip, anywhere else my bill easily would have exceeded $200.

Nice and quiet place during dinner time.
