If tequila is the sign of a party, then a meal at D.S. Tequila Co. is likely to be a blowout bash. That's because the flagship store and restaurant for the tequila brand serves more than a dozen frozen and regular margaritas made with its trademark liquor, which is produced from 8-year-old agave plants using a double-distillation process. Real lime juice flavors many of the drinks, which come in varieties such as blackberry, hibiscus, and banana. The drinks may be the star, but like the kangaroo that almost knocked out Sugar Ray Leonard, the food menu holds its own. To make their burgers, chefs top prime beef with fried egg, jalapeno poppers, or onion rings. And for tacos, they fold crumbles of queso fresco, coffee-spiced skirt steak, and battered fish inside handmade tortillas.
