Every time I tried to schedule a tour it was cancelled. Second City would apologize and say that rarely happens and that it was due to low attendance but the tour was always marked as full/closed on the website. That also made it very difficult to find a weekend that worked because most were marked as"full/closed". Would not recommend buying this Groupon.

Difficulty finding your guide More walking than information Poor customer if & when you actually reach someone Canceled tour before & refused refund, including Groupon.

Amanya is a terrible tour guide. The information was OK, but constantly interrupted by a verbal tick (if "and whatnot" can be considered a verbal tick). Maybe the other guides are better?

The food was good. And it was fun experiencing the eateries. I was disappointed in our tour guide; she did not have much to share about the eateries or Fisherman's Wharf. I've taken other walking food tours and the guides shared history and/or trivia about the area and restaurants we were visiting.

Didn't realize it was a walking tour, but the guide was very entertaining and informative. Great tour!

Definitely recommended! The tour guides were both very knowledgable and articulate. They elaborated on the several aforementioned infamous individuals and their associated history well!

From Our Editors

When it started in 1959, The Second City was an anomaly. The experimental cabaret theater dazzled audience members with scenes created on the fly from its cast of cerebral comedians and actors, many of whom learned the art of improvisation from the teachings of Viola Spolin. As the buzz for the art form grew, so did the reputation of the establishment. In the 55 years since, The Second City has revolutionized comedy in North America and across the globe, graduating alumni who include the likes of Gilda Radner, Harold Ramis, Tina Fey, and Stephen Colbert.

In addition to funneling these performers and more to Saturday Night Live and Hollywood at large, The Second City also racks up fans with its tours, cruise ships, and legendary SCTV program. Today, its network of theaters and schools have set up shop everywhere from Chicago to Los Angeles and Toronto, training the next generation of professional funny people.
