Spa 42, Chicago

In their defense, they were closing in a couple weeks for renovations. The place needs it. I couldn’t believe the waiting area looked so dated. The changing area resembled a gym. I didn’t have a problem with that but there’s no privacy to get undressed. No security in place as the women’s changing area is tucked away around the corner. You’re changing out of your clothes not knowing who will walk in and see you or open the door wide enough for the folks in the pool to see. Not to mention the condos that are across the way can see in the locker room as you can see them. The room that was used for my session had a great view since it’s on the 30th plus floor but had too much light to be a relaxing environment. The oils my therapist used were cold. Maybe this was due to the room being chilly. The therapist was pleasant and did a good job. Just wasn’t the best environment for me

It was amazing to have a spa day that started with a workout and ended with the jacuzzi. The Massage was excellent,but it was great to also have use of the other amenities.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. Would defiantly return !

The people scheduled to do our massage were late and then they cut our massage short. They took 20 min to check us out and bill us. There were no sandals/ flip flops available. I was told this was a private spa and low and behold there was a bunch of screaming kids in the pool. The high lighting hides the view that you are paying for. Will not come here again. I cannot believe this place met the standards for groupon.
