Did not like the ever-changing lights over my dining table...did not flatter my food plates or my date.

You could see the menu items on an iPad. Very cool and helpful. And while we waited, the kids played Temple Run on it.

I was very surprised by the hip atmosphere for the location. Delicious food, delicious drinks. A little pricey even with the groupon, but totally worth the splurge on a special occasion, because this place is awesome.

The food was great and reasonably priced, but the service was slow and it took a long time to get our meals.

It was just kind of on the pricey end of sushi in this town, and it wasn't amazingly good. I recognize that I may have unreasonable expectations for sushi given that I live in Ohio. But even so, I found the food to be about equivalent to many other sushi places in Columbus, but more expensive.

From Our Editors

Fingers scroll across tabletop iPads, zooming in on photos of rolls, noodles, and the rest of Aoi Blue Bar's menu. Rolls brimming with scallops, tuna, and cucumbers slip past in the images, and udon noodles swirl around vegetables, tofu, and beef. Behind a nearby stone-topped sushi bar, decorative wooden fans sprawl over a parsley-hedged display case full of fillets, shrimp tails, and avocado halves awaiting sushi knives on a bed of ice. International influences infiltrate the primarily Japanese menu in the form of kimchi and handmade lamb meatballs. Aoi periodically invites DJs to fill the dining room with thrumming beats and lively lights, which turn diners to dancing after their meals and let visiting disco balls fit in.
