Only went here because I bought a groupon. It had been years since we were last here and we will not be going back. I ordered the tilapia tacos for $10 and could barely see the fish at all. It was paper thin, over cooked and tasted frozen...really disgusting. My son had quesadilla with hamburger and it was cooked to death and tiny portions too. It came with some cold frozen French fries. The salsa tasted like it was from a jar. I Do not recommend this place

The Food was really blend, I love Mexican and the are usually full of flavor, I got the steak burrito and would never eat there again. Also the service was terrible, When you walk in no-one was there to direct you, then you have to pay at the register and then sit down. They need to work on this and make it more customer focused.

From Our Editors

Tony, the owner of Bandido's Mexican Café , learned the tricks of the trade while working at his family’s Mexican restaurant as a teenager. Today, he and his wife own and operate two Bandido’s locations, which serve sizzling fajitas, crisp tacos, and burritos stuffed with beef, chicken, pork, or sautéed spinach. The Herald-Sun's readers praised Bandido's as the Best Mexican Restaurant in 2009, and the restaurant returns the favor by awarding individuals who finish the El Gigante burrito—a massive compilation of steak and chicken fajitas, rice, black beans, and shredded cheese—with a T-shirt and gentle pats on the back. The restaurant often hosts live entertainment, and the Hillsborough location supplements its selection of lunch and dinner fare with a Sunday brunch menu served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
