Husband and wife duo (and Louisiana natives) Heidi and Micah Stampley create a taste of the Big Easy at their homey cafe, Orleans Brews & Beignets. The name gives a pretty good idea of what the two cook up—organic, fair-trade coffee, used in iced or hot drinks provides the perfect companion to a plate of steamy beignets covered in mini peaks of powdered sugar. And the doughy treats don't necessarily have to be sweet. Heidi and Micah offer the Lagniappe Beignet Breakfast, which is comprised of a beignet base crowned with creole sausage gravy and creamy gouda grits. Also, don't miss the signature creole shrimp and grits which is now number one selling dish. Po-boys, crawfish bread, and toasted sandwiches keep diners happy come lunchtime.
