Baxter's Vineyards & Winery, Nauvoo

Kelly Logan, a fifth-generation viticulturist, knows how to coax the vines at Baxter's Vineyards and Winery into producing luscious grapes. After the grapes are harvested, winemaker Brenda Logan oversees the juicing, fermentation, and aging of the vineyard's 14 varieties of wine. The vinery welcomes visitors for tours, and offers samples of blush, sparkling, and concord wine, as well as several reds and whites. Baxter's also stocks snacks that customers can eat on the premises, or take home to enjoy later, such as locally made pizzas and fruit pies.
