About KidZania - Dallas

KidZania is a one-of-a-kind entertainment venue where learning and fun collide into one immersive journey. It is an indoor city scaled down to ¾’s a size where kids are in charge and take on all kinds of roles and responsibilities. They work in different jobs, earn and spend money in KidZania currency, discover activities and professions, and make friends. Parents can enjoy watching their little ones cooperate with others, encounter and overcome challenges, as well as role-play authentic professions such as news anchor, podcaster, chef, actor, police officer, doctor, pilot, actor, and many more.

Visitors arrive at a designated airport check-in area, where kids and their parents receive matching security RFID-chip bracelets. Once inside, kids explore whichever businesses and industries they wish, getting empowered to make their own choices. Some may want to visit a TV Studio and a Theater. Others may choose a Dental Clinic or a Fire Station. Others still may run to the Aviation Academy and become a pilot of a real Boeing 737 sticking out the front of the park. Whatever kids choose, one thing is certain: they get a chance to learn new skills and valuable life lessons while having fun.

I went on July 31st 2020. It was ok, I mean I know they had to make changes due to the pandemic, the kids could no longer ride in the cars like the fire truck and ambulance truck. This is what made KidZania fun!! Also the kids could not wear the uniforms. Not everything was open either, so that was also a bummer!

All the attractions for toddlers were closed, I ended up taking my toddler out to the mall and we were entertained by escalators.I didn't think there were enough hands on activities for older kids. Obviously the hospital is the most popular activity, why not make two of them? Most of the time had to wait for staff to arrive at their stations. Zip line and rock climbing were also closed. Too costly
