The beer tasting and appetizer pairing was an amazing experience. We truly enjoyed the selections from various breweries and each appetizer was perfectly paired with what we were tasting. The food was delicious and the atmosphere enjoyable! If you have not been to the Round Bistro you are missing out on a unique and wonderful experience. If you are a beer connoisseur you will love the wide selection of top quality brews!

About The Round Bistro


Before graduating from the Art Institute of Charlotte, Jack Acheson traveled to France to enrich his culinary training. But when it came time to take the reins in his own restaurant stateside, he didn't look far for inspiration. "There are plenty of specialty restaurants—Mexican, Italian, Chinese," he once told Gaston Alive!. "We felt there was a need for a local restaurant that celebrates American cuisine."

And celebrate it he does. Not with food-shaped parade floats, but with a diverse menu that includes southwestern veggie egg rolls, crab-cake sandwiches, and cajun chicken pasta. One of the restaurant's most popular items is the "Pittsburgher," an Angus beef patty layered with corned beef and sauerkraut. Monthly wine dinners focus on rotating wine regions, with Acheson preparing dishes to pair with sommelier Glenn Stryker's selections.
