Don Julios Mexican Restaurant, Grand Rapids

It was honestly the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. No one was in there at peak dinner time on a Sat. night (should have been my first clue) Service was just as bad. (probably because there was only one waitress and one bartender) I have no idea how they can stay open. Complimentary chips were burnt, appetizer was a bean dip that was like a soup and the "fried" chalupa looked like they steamed it as it was doughy and wet. The chicken was dry and tasteless. The beef resembled dog food and was watery and tasteless. We did try it, but could not eat it. We tipped the waitress and left all the food. We had to go grab a burger at Culvers. It was very disappointing and I feel I just threw $25 away.

even though our experience was mediocre....it is something we may try again. The deal made it worth while!

The chili con carne was a little bland, but everything else was very good.
