Patricia Kooy—a licensed massage therapist and board-certified HPT and CMMT—has learned a great deal about the body’s inner workings during her 10 years of practice, much of which adds up to a single guiding principle: “Healing is a process, not an event.” Patricia begins this process with her advanced repertoire of bodywork techniques, which includes targeted manual therapies as well as holistic energy treatments. She understands that each healing journey requires its own combination of methods, so she tailors her techniques to each individual, treating specific ailments such as arthritis and fibromyalgia with medical deep-tissue techniques or connecting chakras with healing-touch therapy. Depending on the technique and her client’s level of tension, Patricia may incorporate essential oils, hot stones, an infrared-heat lamp, or molten lava to help her melt away stresses.
