Primp Hair Salon's owner, Michele Rae, believes that a good haircut begins not with a blow-dry, spritz bottle, or ritualistic sharpening of the garden shears, but conversation. That's why she stresses the importance of a pre-cut consultation, and has her stylists discuss goals and wishes with their clients in order to gain a clear picture of what they're aiming for.

It was during these conversations that Michele Rae learned that her clientele was interested in extensions. So she not only expanded her repertoire to cater to her clients, but she sought out a new salon space with private rooms for specialized extension treatments. Once she had moved, she developed a proprietary method of hair extensions herself. She trained a group of stylists to implement this process, and today hair extensions are a large part of Primp's offerings—which also includes traditional cut, coloring, and texturizing treatments. For discerning clients, the team uses Remy 100% human hair and individually bonded extensions, installed using a range of methods and products.
