the pork chop was cooked beautifully, with a very subtle flavor - perfect the stuffed quail was also good, but the pork chop beat it

Good waiter. Some have "attitude " about groupon users. He was good.

I will not visit The Tasting Room in Uptown again, but I will definitely re-visit the one in the City Centre!

There was a large Houston magazine party taking place in the restaurant on the evening I visited, and when we arrived, we stood alongside many other guests at the hostess table for several minutes before a harried-looking employee told us there was no host on duty. He asked if we had reservations, and when I said no, dismissively told us, "Good luck" before walking off. Nonetheless, we got a table, and despite the slow service in placing our order at the bar and getting the last guests' glasses cleared, the food was delivered promptly and the waiter we interacted with at the end of our meal was polite and helpful, so our visit ended on a more pleasant note than it started.
