When he first tried floatation therapy, Chris Elrod was like many former Marines; he suffered from back, neck, and knee problems and was experiencing a certain level of PTSD. He had attempted to deal with his physical and metal ailments for years, but they never really went away. Then he went to his first float spa and was so impressed with how great it made him feel, that he decided to open his own place, Tranquility Float Spa.
Now, Chris introduces others to the benefits of floating in warm water filled with 800–1,000 pounds of epsom salt. These may include lessened joint pain, lowered stress levels, and alleviated anxiety. To help make the experience more comfortable, Tranquility's float pods have a hatch that can be left open during a float session.
