Basically a good restaurant with a good menu, etc. Good location in the former Hafenreffer brewery in middle of Jamaica Plain.

When I arrived, I checked the wait time for patio seating and was told it was 90 minutes. 30 minutes later, I was notified a table would be ready soon, but my dinner companion had not arrived yet. When he did arrive, he went inside to let them know, and we were given the next available patio table. Excellent night to be outside. The service was top notch, and the food was delicious.

A good neighborhood place with a nice vibe. Good beer and wine list. I have had cocktails there and thought they weren't as good as at other places--creative but not always well balanced. And surprisingly expensive at this neighborhood place, most around $14. The pizzas and salads are great. The main courses are good, though last night I got spinach fettucine with smoked salmon that was not my favorite. Not plated very well a big pile of fettucine with goopy sauce and the smoked salmon pretty raw. Bella Luna has a changing display of art on the walls that adds to the fun atmosphere. Very family friendly, but tons of couples on dates, too. A nice hubbub of noise but not overwhelming, so you can here conversation at our table. Recommended!
