About Baskin-Robbins in Auburn

Before teaming up in 1953, Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins were seasoned business owners with their own ice-cream shops. The words “unusual varieties” shone high above each man's storefront, signaling their shared passion for anything but an ordinary dessert experience. So when the two got together, they naturally adopted a theme that would keep things exciting: “31 flavors,” one for each day of the month.

Since then, Baskin-Robbins has introduced more than 1,000 ice cream varieties and opened shops with more than 5,800 franchise owners worldwide. Even its little pink tasting spoon has become a staple, emblematic of the ease with which customers can shop for new favorite flavors before settling on one (or more) for their cone.
