The Westin and all the guests were awesome. I could strangle Creation though. There was little to no advertising for the event. So many of us were from GA and really wanted to have a coming to Jesus meeting with their media person. I only found out about it 4 days before it was happening from a guest's blog. It really offended our pride too. Georgians are known for their hospitality and we felt terrible for how our guests were treated. They came in to barely anyone there on Friday. It was sad because I know several folks that wanted to attend but had to give at least two weeks notice. I appreciat our guests and everyone that worked so hard but the person in charge of advertising needs the boot. You seriously couldn't have tweeted, or made a Facebook link, to some of the various Star Trek sites? I know three folks that attended after a guest posted his schedule. That was three folks that made it there with only 4 days notice. Not cool Creation...not cool. Disrespecting your guests and the fans is just low.

The Groupon offered a much shorter entry line (Star Trek Convention) than the one for those with a regular ticket. Fast, easy & much less expensive!

In 1971, Gary Berman and Adam Malin, then just two teenage sci-fi fans, founded Creation Entertainment. Throughout the '70s and '80s, they helped develop and promote local comic-book conventions, but by the '90s their interests had turned to genre films and TV. It was smart timing: at the peak of Star Trek's popularity, the duo were running upward of three Trek-related events per weekend.
These days, throughout the US, Canada, and Great Britain, Creation Entertainment hosts conventions and events for various sci-fi and horror franchises, including Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, and Xena: Warrior Princess. A who's who of Hollywood luminaries have all made past appearances, including actor Jack Nicholson, author Ray Bradbury, and George Lucas, the famous director of the Indiana Jones: Space Cowboy movies. Along with its events, Creation Entertainment manufactures merchandise ranging from pictures signed by Lord of the Rings actors to water bottles emblazoned with the Supernatural logo.
