Q&A with Rebecca Remus, Owner/Head Trainer

Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Our trainers take to time to get to know our athletes and their goals. The members form a unique and caring bond with everyone in the class.

Besides working out, what else can clients do to spend their time at your facility?
We offer yoga and strength-training classes Monday–Thursday evenings, we have a great relationship with our local Airrosti Provider, Dr. Jeremy Robillard.

When and how did you first develop a passion for fitness?
Our trainers have been involved in athletics their entire lives. Half of them are prior service military, and we have all been passionate about CrossFit, and fitness in general, for about five years.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We are involved in the community and care deeply about the fitness community in and around Leander. Everyone can benefit from CrossFit—all fitness levels are welcome.

Super friendly staff. I’ve only had two classes so far but both instructors were excellent. The facility is very nice and more than adequate. This is my first experience with CrossFit so I don’t have a basis for comparison nor did I arrive with any expectations but I can say I am happy I bought 10 classes and pleased with everything at this point.

First class, they let you warm up with the others, then pull you aside and show you any corrections in form you may need, Rebecca showed me the ropes and gave me a spiral notebook to track my progress and refer back to in the future. All exercises can be scaled down or modified for every fitness level. Very knowledgeable, friendly group, kids area if you need to bring your kids.

It is hard work but the coaches are good about modifying all the skills and exercies and not everyone one is extremely fit so that makes it less intimidating. CrossFit has been very rewarding even though it is hard work.
